Welcome to the Nordic
Environmental Specimen Banking Homepage !
This web is a result of the cooperation between the Nordic countries (Norway, Iceland,
Finland, Denmark (Greenland), Sweden and Faroe Island), and are financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers (Nordiska Ministerrådet
(NMR)).
The main objective of this web is to make Environmental Specimens more accessible in
and between the Nordic countries. On the following pages you will find which institutions
that store frozen specimens of different species. By contacting the different institutions
you will get information on whether the specimens are accessible.
The web also give information on national ESB activities in the Nordic countries, and
on the Nordic ESB cooperation.

to institutions that store specimens from specific species
- Information on the connection to the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP)
